In their 4-1 victory in Philadelphia, the Seattle Kraken scored four unanswered goals to snap a two-game skid while handing the Flyers their third straight loss.
Matty Beniers provided the game winning goal in the 2nd period and added an assist.
The Beniers goal came at 18:57 during a four-on-four situation. Chandler Stephenson put the game out of reach 42-seconds later with a tally on a shorthanded breakaway.
Tye Kartye had tied the game earlier in the period after Philly’s Owen Tippett opened the scoring with 32-seconds remaining in the 1st period.
Kraken D-man Brandon Montour closed out the game with a point shot in the 3rd period. It was un-screened; the final blemish on a tough day for Flyers goalie Samuel Ersson. Seattle peppered him with 32 shots while Philadelphia mustered 24 against Philipp Grubauer.
‘Grubi’ played well, picking up his first NHL win since December 30th. It was his first start since being recalled from Coachella Valley of the American Hockey League.
Neither team are playoff threats. The Flyers are third from the bottom of the Eastern Conference; the Kraken fourth from the bottom in the west.
