Kraken: Watch Out For Angry Ducks Rematch

Kraken Game Day

The Ducks are young and they don’t handle adversity well. That’s the message from 23-year Anaheim play-by-play man John Ahlers whose game preview you can see below.

They give up a goal, get down, and often give up another.

There’s no better example of that negative phenomena than when the Kraken scored 46-seconds into the 3rd period on Monday night to tie the game with the Ducks, only to score again just 24-seconds later to take the lead and eventually win.

Seattle held on for the 3-2 decision.

Three nights before that defeat, Anaheim blew a 2-0 lead late in the 2nd period to the Buffalo Sabres and eventually lost in overtime 3-2.

Meanwhile, with the win on Monday, the Kraken moved a game above .500 on the season and into the thick of the Western Conference playoff race. Too early to talk postseason in late-November??  Not a chance. Two points for a win are just as big now as they are in April.

How’s that for coach speak?

Speaking of coaches, it’ll be first year Seattle man Dan Bylsma against Greg Cronin, in just his second full season with the Ducks.

The goaltenders should be John Gibson against Philipp Grubauer.

Puck drop is a little after 7 pm pacific.
