Bad Kraken Streaks Extended In 2-0 Boston Loss

Kraken 3 Straight Losses

The Seattle Kraken haven’t scored a goal in 123-minutes of game action, since late in the 3rd period of the 4-1 loss to the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Thursday night.

Jeremy Swayman picked up the 2-0 shut-out for the Bruins on Sunday while facing a total of just 10 shots through the first two periods. Seattle surged in the 3rd, adding 13 more, but the effort was too little too late.

At the other end hometown boy Joey Daccord was busy all evening, especially with his club parading to the penalty box, particularly in the first period.

It was difficult for Seattle to establish any rhythm or momentum at 5-on-5.

Undisciplined stick fouls and/or penalties in the offensive zone mounted up. Fortunately, Seattle’s solid penalty kill this season continued to perform well for the most part. Boston went 1-for-5 on the man advantage (20%), but it took a naughty stickhandling deke by Charlie Coyle to beat Daccord at 9:57 of the 1st period.

Justin Brazeau opened the scoring with an unstoppable deflection at 3:23 of the 1st.

That was it. Shots finished 33-23 Boston.

Seattle slipped to 1-and-3 on their roadie and two games below .500 in the standings.

Next up; the surprisingly discombobulated Colorado Avalanche in Denver on Tuesday night. Like the Kraken, the Av’s have dropped three games in a row.
