Kraken Talk, Etc.
OK, so it’s not brand new, but we did bring up some serious Kraken talk during a visit to “The Eye Test” with Boston pal Jimmy Murphy and longtime national NHL TV analyst and ice level reporter Pierre McGuire. The latter is also a former NHL coach who has his name on the Stanley Cup as an assistant with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1992.
Murph’ and I go back a couple decades with our hockey coverage and some off-ice debauchery, while Pierre was a weekly regular on two of my former national hockey talk shows. I was pleased as punch to jump on with them earlier this week.
Give Sick Media’s “The Eye Test” a shot – it runs Monday through Friday live on Youtube beginning at 1 pm pacific and is of course available as a recording after the fact. They’re more than 100 episodes deep and most of their guests are top notch.
In this case, we gave an honest assessment of the current state of the Seattle Kraken, along with some fun NHL and personal history.
The “Simmer” visit begins about 14-minutes from the start of the video rolling, including the countdown.
