Kraken’s Firebirds Continue To Roll; Win 3-1

Eight consecutive wins and counting in the Calder Cup playoffs for the Seattle Kraken’s top affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds. In front of a sell-out crowd at Acrisure Arena on Friday night, CV beat the Milwaukee Admirals 3-1 to go up two-nothing in the best-of-seven western conference final.

The win comes two nights after the Firebirds opened the series with a 2-1 victory in Game-1 when John Hayden scored both CV goals.

This time it was Kole Lind and Andrew Poturalski with two point nights, each with a goal and an assist. Poturalski opened the scoring just 28-seconds into the game.

Seattle Kraken regular D-man Ryker Evans drilled home a power play goal in the first period. Lind’s goal came late in the 2nd period to put the game away.

Firebirds goalie Chris Driedger, coming off a 37 save performance in Game-1, made 31 more in this victory.

The series shifts to Milwaukee for Game-3 on Tuesday night.
